A special needs child and the mask mandate.

I make no apologies for this story, since government sponsored torture of a special needs 7 year old girl is worth the effort.

"Brevard County Florida school employees used nylon rope to tie a mask onto a female nonverbal down syndrome student every day for 6 weeks. One day they forgot to remove it and sent her home, which is how her dad found out."

Who didn't see this kind of torture coming from mask mandate idealogues. The girl in the story had trouble breathing and the inside of her mask was thick with saliva. This county in Florida has a no mask mandate, yet the teachers and administrators didn't care, SO THEY TIED ONE ON HER GODDAMN FACE WITH A NYLON ROPE.

Hey all you do gooder, holier than thou, righteously indignant idealogues. Where were you when this little girl, or the countless other little girls and boys, couldn't breath and couldn't speak for themselves?

I know, you were scared, hiding behind a piece of paper strapped to your face, while feeling morally superior to anyone who questioned it. Choosing ignorance and faux safety over reason, fact, and logic. Because of that, BABIES ARE BEING TORTURED YOU IGNORANT GHOULS.

Who didn't see this coming?Who doesn't know that humans are terribly flawed and, once armed with moral justification, will do the most heinous things to other humans all the while defending themselves as "one of the good ones."

Well, who is defending the ones who cannot defend themselves? You know, the beautiful, innocent, 7 year old, down syndrome baby girls of the world?

This is just one instance, how many others do you think there are? I have an idea that I'm sure many in the "I support mask mandates" world could get behind:

We should find a set of equally beautiful twin, 7 year old, down syndrome baby girls and do some testing on them. Yeah, we could tie a mask on one real tight with a rope, and not put one on the other, and see who suffers the most! That way we would know if there is any harm from a mask.

Why stop there? We could then inject one with a mysterious substance and see if it makes them both sick! The research opportunities are endless. I believe we could find a bunch of data to work from by looking at the studies conducted by our friends in Germany in the early 1940s.

I am loath to compare anything or anyone to the Nazis, in particular the suffering of the Jews at the hands of those animals. But there are similarities, however small, in this story.

I'm sure the teacher meant well. And I'm sure the principal was "just looking out for all the kids" when they both felt justified Tying A MASK TO A LITTLE GIRLS FACE WITH A NYLON ROPE.

This is indefensible, and it sickens me to my core. I could care less what happens to most people, I have little to no empathy for my fellow man. But little girls who have no voice? Who cannot speak for themselves and are forced to suffer under the self righteousness of crazed idealogues? Nope.

Let me prove my point about what I believe to be societies morally indefensible response to this story. The internet is full of stories today about the NIH funding research on dogs in Africa, terrible to be sure. But a bigger story than the torture of a 7 year old down syndrome girl by a government school teacher and principal?

Our collective priorities in the west are backwards. Unless, of course, you believe that the torture of a child with down syndrome is analogous to the torture of an animal? In that case, I find you morally reprehensible, part of the problem, and we have nothing to talk about.

We should all be doing what we can to put a stop to this. But we won't, cause it's all about safety and science.
